The detail

The Olive Construction detail.

That is Dan’s own phrase, from a post in October 2024. These are four of the things he means by it, each from a real job and each in his own words.

Bullnosed edges

“Bullnosing a paver is forming a rounded edge, normally used on steps or capstones … over 30 metres of hand bullnosing to give that much nicer finish.”

Mitres and curves

“Over 200 cuts to achieve mitre angles and curves. My patience was tested on this one. But good job, I love what I do!”

Builders and developers

Contract work, too.
